Tiwa Savage is being blackmailed over an erotic video with her boyfriend

During an interview with American radio host, Angie Martinez of Power 105.1, the afrobeat singer said she is being blackmailed because of a video clip showing intimate moments she shared with her partner, the blackmailer is threatening to release it to the general public if his demands are not met.

In Tiwa savage own words the A list artist explained: "yesterday I was leaving a radio station, in my car and my road manager sends me a message that says I should check my phone. So, I check it and there's a video and I'm like Woah!. I'm like where did you get this from? He's like 'I just got it about 20 mins ago.

Tiwa Savage continued, "the video was sent to him and it was an intimate video of me and the person am dating right now". She sent the video to her manager and she was like "Oh my God! What are we gonna do?". The person is asking for money now.

The interviewer asked if it was the person she was dating now that is responsible for the blackmailing and she said, "no, no he is going crazy too". She revealed that the said boyfriend mistakenly posted the clip on his Snapchat, unfortunately, someone downloaded it before it was deleted.

Tiwa savage continues"my manager asks how much they are asking for?" So, I woke up and was like "No, I pay it now, then two months down the line he comes back, and maybe even two years later.

In the end, there is no guarantee that the person won't release it eventually. "I am not going to allow someone to blackmail me for doing something natural".She went on to say that she did nothing wrong, she is not cheating, neither is her partner and they are two adults.

She further said that she could release the clip herself as she would not give the blackmailer any money. Her only setback is how her mum and child will take it. 

She has to explain things to them about the drama that is to unfold. She will tell his son to brace him up for the future. 

Tiwa savage further stated that her worry is "why now? now that the music is so good. She doesn't want it to overshadow her hard work and all her efforts.

When asked, she said this is the first time this kind of thing is happening and the said event in the video is a recent one, just about two to three weeks ago.

To her fans, she feels for them because they will have to be defending her. "I may switch off my phone or have someone run my accounts so I do not see but my fans will feel the need to protect me . I will like my fans to let it go".
