Most modern smartphones support the use of two sim cards on one device. Consequently, some people may also want to have two different WhatsApp accounts or other social media accounts like Facebook and telegram on one device.
Devices like Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, One plus, Real me, Huawei and Honor offer 'Dual apps' or related features, which allow users to run two different social media accounts on one phone.
How to use dual WhatsApp on one device
Samsung
- Go to settings
- Tap on the Advance feature
- Tap on Dual messenger.
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Oppo
- Go to setting
- Then tap on App clone.
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Xiaomi
- Go to settings
- Tap on Apps
- Tap on Dual Apps
- Select the social media account(s) you want to duplicate ( in this case select WhatsApp)
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Vivo
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Apps and notifications
- Tap on App clone
- Select the social media account(s) you want to duplicate ( in this case select WhatsApp)
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.

- Go to Settings
- Tap on Twin App
- Select the social media account(s) you want to duplicate ( in this case select WhatsApp)
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Huawei and Honor
- Go to Settings
- Tap on App

- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions

- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Realme
- Go to Settings
- Tap on App management
- Tap on App clone
- Select the social media account(s) you want to duplicate ( in this case select WhatsApp)
- Tap on Install Whatsapp and follow the instructions
- Wait for the process to complete
- Return to the home screen of your device
- Tap on the second WhatsApp logo.
- Fill in the required details including another phone number.
Android devices that do not support the dual App setting
For devices that do not support the "dual app" option, you can still use two different WhatsApp accounts on the device by simply downloading "Multiple Accounts App" from the device play store. This App is more versatile than the inbuilt phone dual App option and supports the duplication of virtually all social media Apps and other App on your device.
